The Manage page is the main SlideDeck 2 plugin page, a hub for all your SlideDecks. You can create, edit, copy, preview and delete SlideDecks from this page. The page is broken down into 2 main sections and 2 subsections, I will address them below.
The top section of the Manage page is for creating decks. This is the main action users take, so it is somewhat front and center. You can chose from using either a Dynamic Source or Custom Content deck.
Click on the blue "Create SlideDeck" button in the Dynamic Source block to open up a modal for choosing which Dynamic Source you want to start with.
Choose from a list of available Dynamic Sources:
Note: Not all Dynamic Sources are available to SlideDeck 2 Lite users.
Once you choose a Dynamic Source you will be taken to the Dynamic Source edit page.
Custom Content (available in SlideDeck 2 Personal, SlideDeck 2 Professional and SlideDeck 2 Developer - slide types available differ per tier)
Click on the blue "Create SlideDeck" button in the Custom Content block to go to the Custom Content edit view where you will create your Custom Content SlideDeck.
Immediately below the blocks to create your SlideDecks you have the area for managing them, you can sort this list using the drop down provided.
Each row contains a few things to pay attention to, from left to right:
- Icon for the content source, if more than once source is used you will see a grid showing the most recent sources added
- Name you gave the SlideDeck
- Date modified - last time the SlideDeck configuration was updated
- (on hover) ID of the SlideDeck - this is the unique ID number given to the SlideDeck in your WordPress installation
- (on hover) Use This SlideDeck
- (on hover) Preview
- (on hover) Duplicate
- (on hover) Delete
You can click on each row to open that SlideDeck up to edit it.
Use This SlideDeck
Clicking on the Use This SlideDeck button will open up the first time modal that comes up each time you create a SlideDeck for the first time. You have 3 methods available for integrating the SlideDeck presented to you. You can follow the instructions in this modal to integrate your SlideDeck into your site.
Clicking the Preview button will expand a preview of your SlideDeck. Use this to quickly check and make sure this is the SlideDeck you want.
By clicking the Duplicate button this SlideDeck will be copied and inserted at the top of the list. This is a great way to have a good starting point once you get a deck configured the way you want it, just duplicate the deck and reconfigure!
This does what it says - deletes your SlideDeck. Once you delete your SlideDeck you cannot retrieve it.
