I am creating my SlideDeck, where is the lens I want? How come I cannot see the lens I want to use? I see a lens in the Lenses overview, but not in the list of lenses to select for my SlideDeck, why?
If you have asked any of these questions, this is the right place to be. The majority of our lenses work with both Custom Content decks and all Dynamic Content sources. However there are some that have special use cases, or are only available for specific content types or sources. Only the lenses that support the Content Source or deck type(Dynamic or Custom) will be available in the list to select for that deck.
You can see in a snapshot what Content Source(s) a lens is available in by looking that the SlideDeck 2 Lenses page in your WordPress Admin:
Supports all Content source(s)
Supports only Dynamic Video Sources
You can see if the lens supports Custom Content decks by looking for this icon:
If you don't see the icon for the Content Source you want to use, then the lens does not support it. That does not mean that it will never support it, just that at this time it does not. This is due to many many variables, if you have a specific question about it let us know.
Here is a quick list of the anomalies, the lenses that don't support all. Detailed by each one are the sources supported.
- Proto Video: dynamic video sources only (YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion)
- Twitter: Twitter dynamic source only
- Reporter: all dynamic sources only
- Titles: all dynamic sources only
- Polarad: all dynamic image based sources (Instagram, Dribbble, Picassa/Google+, Flickr, 500px, Pinterest)
